First time home buyers...

This seems to be our current "tag". Although not technically true - Brent and I both owned homes with our prior significant others - we certainly feel like it is the first one! We've got in at the bottom end of the downturn of the real estate boom, and hope to find in a few years we've made a great investment.

It (the house) is an extremely cute 1963 CBS single story home in Lake Worth, FL. It's a wonderful area close to the beach (about a 1/2 mile as the crow flies, or 2 miles if the crow is on strike) and it's full of cute little houses and a only a handful of McMansions along the Intracoastal Waterway.

So we have decided for your viewing pleasure, to update regularly with pictures and stories of our first attempt at home renovation! The current "Bucket List" of items to be completed are:

  1. Remove the current ORIGINAL 1963 kitchen and replace with an entirely new one
  2. Remove the "popcorn" acoustic ceiling in the living room
  3. Paint EVERY room in the house
  4. Pull up all of the floor coverings to reveal the Terrazzo floors underneath
  5. Have the Terrazzo refinished
It doesn't sound like a lot right? ;)
